Project Description

Vantage Contractors executed comprehensive storm recovery operations across four parishes following Hurricane Ida’s devastating impact, delivering critical utility infrastructure restoration support through asset recovery and transmission line access clearing.

Scope of Project

Asset Recovery Operations – Deployed 10 four person crews with skid steers and dump trailers to collect and transport damaged utility poles and wires to designated staging areas for proper disposal across Orleans and St. Bernard parishes.

Right of Way Clearing – Mobilized 10 two person crews with 12 skid steers (grapple buckets) and chainsaws to clear transmission line corridors, removing debris and obstructions across Terrebonne and St. Mary parishes.

Safety First Operations – Implemented comprehensive safety protocols including power voltage detection measures when working near energized lines, ensuring crew safety while maintaining aggressive project timelines.

Logistics Coordination – Managed complex multi parish operations despite communication disruptions from downed lines and traffic congestion from widespread debris.
