2021 National Hurricane Conference

From June 14-17, several members of the Vantage team attended the 2021 National Hurricane Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The annual conference’s goal is to improve hurricane preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation throughout the United States and the tropical islands of the Caribbean and Pacific. The conference also serves as a forum for the exchange of new ideas on improving federal, state, and local Emergency Management policy.

Our team had a wonderful time learning and training. We are excited to head home and apply the information we learned in order to better help and serve our community.

Right-of-way (ROW) vegetation clearing is a crucial aspect of line maintenance that enables increased visibility and access to the pipeline. Such clearing may also enhance the integrity of the pipe itself, as harmful growth is kept off the top of the line. Vantage specializes in pipeline clearing, and services many clients throughout the year.

Athlon Solutions -
Limestone Lay Down Area

August 2020
Geismar, LA
Industrial Services

The project called for de-grassing a 37,000 square foot area followed by the excavation of 6” of material over the entire area to create an accurate finished grade. Once the excavation was completed, we placed 8” of compacted limestone over the area and graded it for positive drainage. When finished, Athlon was able to park empty tankers and non-hazardous chemical totes on the limestone with no worry of sinking, and it opened their concrete area considerably to allow for more truck traffic since they are pushing out more products.
